Bill Erwin Dies

Bill Erwin, an actor best known for his Emmy-nominated turn as a crotchety old man on "Seinfeld," died at his home in Studio City, California, on Wednesday at 96 of age-related causes.

Bill Erwin had a pretty impressive career, with more than 250 TV and film credits under his belt!  He  was a well-respected character actor whose career spanned films, television and the stage.

In addition to Seinfeld, Bill Erwin appeared on a variety of TV shows, including “Leave It to Beaver,” “I Love Lucy,” “Gunsmoke,” “The Andy Griffith Show,” “Twilight Zone,” “The Fugitive,” “Perry Mason,” “Growing Pains,” “Who’s the Boss?” “Married With Children” and  “Star Trek: The Next Generation.”

Bill Erwin died on December 29; he has two daughters, two sons and eight grandchildren.
