Unifirst In Undercoverboss

Ronald is the president and CEO of  Unifirst, the leading producer of workwear and uniforms in the United States, is the latest Undercover Boss Season 2 Episode 13, on Sunday, Jan. 9 (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) on CBS.

Presently, Ronald tries to keep up with an assembly line, load industrial washing machines, and perform other tasks that might not be as simple as they would seem.
Most importantly, he gets a taste of being one’s own boss and what it's like to work in his own company.

Unifirst has suffered from persistently high unemployment in the U.S. and Canada. It had reported declining earnings in recent quarters but its top line has shown promise. 


For the quarter ended Nov. 27, UniFirst's profit increased to $23.8 million from $23.6 million a year earlier but declined to $1.20 from $1.21 on a per-share basis as the number of shares outstanding increased slightly. Revenue rose 6.6% to $273.1 million. 

The laundry business, by far the company's largest, had a 5.7% increase in revenue as profit dropped 2.8%. At the specialty garment segment, revenue increased 13% as earnings dropped by the same measure on margin pressures. 

Company shares closed Tuesday at $54.68.
