Antonella Barba

Antonella Barba

Antonella Barba surfaces and She’s seen with C&E’s Tracy Dietz. She works at Lounge 201. She was a ‘American Idol’ season six semi-finalist.
She is 20 and from Point Pleasant, NJ.

The starlet was recently reunited with Jordin Sparks on Broadway.

Antonella Barba was first seen on television at the New York auditions of Idol in a January 2007 episode. She auditioned with her friend Amanda Collucio; after Collucio sang her rendition of Patsy Cline's "Crazy."

The judges praised her performance and liked it better than her friend Amanda's performance; eventually both received golden ticket passes to Hollywood. Antonella Barba made it into the top 24 but her friend was cut before the top 40.

She  received notoriety beyond the show when a series of racy photographs of her surfaced on the Internet prior to the final twelve contestants being chosen. These included photos of her posing in a wet t-shirt in the fountain of the National World War II Memorial in Washington, D.C. She was quoted as saying that they "were photos of my personal life that got exploited without my consent." These pictures have received mainstream attention during February 27, 2007.
The photos also casued outrage because it was felt that students at Catholic University should not take such photos, and it especially outraged some that Barba was not expelled from the university.

Presently she is out with her new holiday single ‘The Christmas Song’, released on Arkatone Music Group Ltd. The song will be available on iTunes within the upcoming weeks and is currently available at arkatonemusic.com.

“I hope everyone is having a wonderful holiday season, and I hope this song can help you get in the spirit of the holidays,” Barba wrote on her MySpace. “Thank you for all your continued support! I will be working hard to get more music out for you to hear very soon!!”

Antonella Barba  is also known for her halloween themed song ‘Out For Blood’,  her independently released single ‘Jersey Girl’, featuring the ‘American Idol’ alum and for her performance in  the National Anthem for the New York Knicks vs. Los Angeles Clippers game at Madison Square Garden on Friday, December 18, 2009.
