Gwinnett County School Board Member Arrested

Gwinnett County School Board Member, Daniel Seckinger, arrested and jailed Monday evening for failing to pay child support.  

Daniel Seckinger  is  a long-time Gwinnett County, Ga., school board member since 1995.
 
He was arrested and charged on Monday and  reportedly being held on a $7,000 bond.
He has served on the board since 1995. The excuse he used  is that the economy took a toll on his home-building business.


Seckinger, a Buford resident, is owner and president of Seckinger Homes, Inc. He represents all or part of the Berkmar, Collins Hill, Dacula, Lanier, Mill Creek, Mountain View, North Gwinnett, and Peachtree Ridge clusters.

 

Seckinger's ex-wife filed for a contempt hearing for failing to pay child support, as reportd. Seckinger stopped paying child support in April 2010, according to documents filed by his former wife. According to WSB-TV. the arrears totals $15,000 as court papers showed.

 

Seckinger met his $7,000 bond early Tuesday morning, according to the website.
