Free Shipping Day 2010

Free Shipping Day 2010

To-day is the third annual ‘Free Shipping Day’, a one-day-only event in which retailers have teamed up to offer shipping on online orders (delivery by December 24)  at zero cost. At least some  motivation for holiday shopping procrastinators.

Over 1,500 retailers have agreed to offer free shipping today.

One thousand stores, including Neiman Marcus, Overstock.com, L.L.Bean, Zappos, Barnes & Noble, and The Body Shop, are offering free shipping on all orders, with no minimum purchase required, and you can take advantage of free shipping (with some restrictions) at another 700 stores,  such as Nordstrom, Macy's, Sears, and JCPenney.

According to a recent Unicast poll, 37% of consumers intend to participate in Free Shipping Day to avoid shipping fees and grab last-minute bargains.

Launched in 2008, Free Shipping Day will this year feature a record 1500+ participating merchants. While some stores have free shipping minimums, usually $25 or $50, over 60% of the participating stores are offering free shipping with no minimums on December 17.

Visit FreeShipping.org tonight at 12:00am for a list of participating sponsors.
