Most Chinese restaurants were open today so they people could enjoy a nice warm meal. Some customers say eating Chinese food on Christmas is quickly becoming a family tradition

Earlier this year, state legislators passed a law that permitted the sale of alcohol on Christmas Day after noon. Previously, sales were banned beginning at 9 p.m. on Dec. 24 through 7 a.m. Dec. 26. 

Though most businesses were shuttered on the holiday, those that chose to open — the occasional liquor store and several Chinese restaurants — were selling wine, liquor and beer.
