Ted Kaczynski the Unabomber

I Don't Want To Live Long”, says Ted Kaczynski. “I Would Rather Get The Death Penalty Than Spend The Rest Of My Life In Prison"

He had been  diagnosed as paranoid schizophrenic by court-appointed psychiatrists on his arrest and was widely considered to be insane, but Kaczynski says, “he will not tolerate being called, as he puts it, "a nut," or "a lunatic" or "a sicko."  He pleaded guilty last year only to stop his lawyers from arguing he was a paranoid schizophrenic.”

Dr. Theodore John "Ted" Kaczynski  also known as the Unabomber (University and Airline Bomber), is an American mathematician and social critic and anarchist who engaged in a mail bombing spree that spanned nearly 20 years, killing three people and injuring 23 others.

He was born on May 22, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois, where, as an intellectual child prodigy. He excelled academically from an early age and was accepted into Harvard University at the age of 16.  There  he earned an undergraduate degree, and later a PhD in mathematics from the University of Michigan. He became an assistant professor at the University of California, Berkeley at age 25 but resigned two years later.

His intellectual aspiration demanded he give undivided long spells of time to his object of  love and it had drawn him to wards solitude. He wanted absolute solitude and never wanted to be bothered by humans. So he wanted to run away and away from human habitation into jungles. He slowly turned towards revenge   for the assumed wrong doing of the humans towards him. He started planning and executing his plans to bomb people and aero planes for retaliation.

Agents arrested Theodore Kaczynski on April 3, 1996 at his remote cabin outside Lincoln, Montana, where he was found in an unkempt state. Combing his cabin, the investigators found a wealth of bomb components, 40,000 handwritten journal pages that included bomb-making experiments and descriptions of the Unabomber crimes; and one live bomb, ready for mailing.

He lived a life of isolation and emotional deprivation. In such cases, even the highest  of minds can succumb to false idealism. His is a classic case to demonstrate us, how one’s intellect can fall victim to  his unstable and destructive emotion to cause self  as well as mass destruction.
