Facebook Cartoon Profile Pictures News

The theory for the Facebook cartoon profile picture craze was that people were changing their Facebook pictures to cartoons to speak out against child abuse and violence. It may actually be a hoax set up by online child predators.

Many suspect that online child predators started the ‘Facebook Cartoon Craze’ to lure innocent children into accepting Facebook friend requests from people who appear to be friendly cartoon characters. This is reason some did not change their profile pictures. This seems to me very unlikely as Facebook is not open to children. Also the Cartton Profile Picture campaign has a deadline and expires on 6 December 2010.

In Facebook,  changing of the profile pictures trend was not so much visible though some changed their profile pictures.

Before starting a debate and suggesting solutions on important things, such as child abuse, we must behave responsibly. We must bring a change, but that change must be positive. While acting on and deciding upon issues which involves little children, we must ensure that the change brings positive results.

Every change is not necessarily positive, we should remember that.
