Aretha Franklin Death is a Rumor

Aretha Franklin’s death  is a rumor.  She is the latest celebrity to fall victim to Internet rumors of an early demise.

A rep for Franklin tells Gossip Cop exclusively, “Aretha is fine.”

Just the other day, Charlie Sheen was also the subject of a fake death hoax.

She underwent a surgery about a month ago for a speculated illness. Rumor has it that she had pancreatic cancer. The rag lists pancreatic survival rates at 5-10%, and even lower for someone of her age and weight.

She canceled a number of her concerts in October citing health reasons. In early November, she has canceled all engagements for the next six months. This may be a strong reason for speculators of her death, but it is for sure nobody means for such a thing.
