Qualcomm Stadium Flooding Cleared.

The Poinsettia Bowl will play tonight at its regularly scheduled start time.

As of 10 am PST today, the sky is clear, the sun is out, and the temperatures are improving and the crews are prepping the field urgently.

Poinsettia Bowl Executive Director Bruce Binkowski tells local news that the field is ready. Online pictures provided by organizers at 6:30 am PST today verified the field looks great. Organizers achieved the feat by tarpping the field during the rain, then pumping out the rain Wednesday.

Start time is 5:06 pm and the game, featuring the Aztecs (8-4) taking on Navy (9-3),  will begin on time, even though the Poinsettia Bowl looked the Poinsettia Bathtub on Wednesday. And if you are wondering, the parking lot has been cleared as well, reports local news.

There were floods all over the region yesterday, due to heavy rain that caused the San Diego River to flood. According to reports, the Qualcomm Stadium field was submerged in 10 inches of muddy water on Wednesday, leaving the game in doubt.

The Qualcomm Stadium flooding is among the many examples of southern California's rain problems today.
